Missile Not From Saint-Pierre & Miquelon

Was the object seen in the skies above Newfoundland a French missile launched from Brittany?

The rocket or missile that appeared in the sky over Newfoundland did not originate in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. Any reports claiming so are erroneous. The islands do not have any permanent military presence except for a small coast guard vessel.

It is likely that missile tests conducted over the North Atlantic by a French submarine based in Brittany are the cause of these sightings.

  2. LUDICROUS : “The Prime Minister’s office has waded into the rocket launch mystery over the Burin Peninsula earlier this week. The Press Secretary for the Prime Minister’s Office says there is no indication that there was ever a rocket launch. The PMO goes on to explain that the area is fequented by model rocket hobbyists, and the photo circulating may be a model rocket launch. “

  5. In all the pictures i’ve seen, it looks like the missile’s rocket engines are burning, and ballistic missiles only burn their engines for a few minutes after launch, so it had to come from close by.
